Bob Dylan announced new US tour dates today, starting in Florida and working his way west. Come on, Bob, you know you want to come further west than Akron. Phoenix is beautiful this time of year. A good way to make my mother visibly question her parenting accomplishments: Pounce on a book called Terminate With Extreme Prejudice: An Exposé of the Assassination Game, Its Killers and Their Paymasters on the clearance shelves at Borders in front of her. My poor mother.

I am pleased and grateful that stories of mine were enjoyed enough to be nominated in the fanfic awards, truly. But I sure do hate picking excerpts.

Today's bit of C5 prep: Will the braided hairpiece I bought for my Mara costume look better if I straighten my hair first? I was hoping to avoid that extra step, but there's no denying that my hair is super curly, and the top layers just aren't long enough to be pulled back into the braid.
